Mission Statement
We, the members of Triangle Interests, will create community by establishing institutions, structures and entities that affirm and enrich our lives as lesbians. We accomplish this by working together... using our resources and sharing our knowledge, wisdom and energy.
Our History
Triangle Interests (TI) is a national lesbian membership association that was created in 1991 as a 501(c)) charitable nonprofit organization. Membership in the organization is open to all self-identified lesbian women and organizations supportive of our mission.
TI's overall goal is to improve the economic status and quality of life of the lesbian community. We provide information and education, business networking opportunities, and resources and programs that address our unique needs.
Triangle Interests is proud to sponsor the Triangle Interests Federal Credit Union (TIFCU) - a financial resource for members of TI. TIFCU, chartered in 1995, is a federally insured financial cooperative that operates for the benefit of its members.
Triangle Interests provides the foundation for building a lesbian financial network. It continues to identify and access the resources we need to take care of ourselves as we age...
Triangle Interests encourages all lesbian women to join and actively work with us to develop alternatives to the existing, and often exclusionary, institutional processes (see Join Us for details). The scope of our vision encompasses retirement and life-care planning and residential communities.
